Parma’s Story
I am Parma Santa. I am 33 years. We are farmers. When I was a child, I did not get the opportunity to study. I heard they are going to start literacy classes in our village, I felt very happy. I attended the class every day. It was very interesting. I started to write my own name.
I also learned few songs which encouraged me to attend the class regularly. The songs taught me about cleanliness, health, and hygiene. The stories shared at the class gave me joy.
I am starting to read and do a little math. I am reading the newspaper and learning more about the world around me.
